Fabulous hand shaped long pear drop Agate earrings dating to the latter Victorian era and hung on traditional 9ct Gold 'shepherd's crook' earwires made in our workshop. A dreamy cloud of palest gold swirls through the creamy background to the quirkily shaped 'torpedo' drops. Stones such as these could be found on Scottish beaches and fashioned into so-called 'Pebble' jewellery for tourists visiting queen Victoria's beloved country.
The pendants themselves measure 3.5cm and are set into gilded base metal fittings which have an antique patina and there is age related loss to the gilding. From the top of the wire they measure 5cms.
